Print Robot’s custom round key tags give your design a distinctive circular format that stands apart from standard rectangular tags.
Choose a compact 1½-inch circle or a larger 2⅛-inch circle depending on your logo, artwork and the amount of information you need to include. Each tag is printed on thick 30-mil plastic with a gloss finish and a hole punch for attaching it to keys, bags or key rings.
Round plastic key tags can be used for memberships, customer programs, clubs, events, promotions and branded identification. Print your logo and colors in full color, then add optional names, numbering, barcodes, QR codes or other variable information when required.

Designing for a Circular Key Tag
A round key tag requires a different layout from a rectangular tag. The design must follow the circular edge while leaving enough clear space around the hole punch and any important printed information.
Keep logos and text away from the outer edge so they are not crowded by the curved trim. Centered logos, badge-style artwork and circular borders often fit the shape well, but the finished layout should remain clear at the selected print size.
When adding a barcode or QR code, leave sufficient blank space around the code and avoid placing it over photographs, patterns or low-contrast colors. The larger 2⅛-inch size may be more suitable when a scannable code must share the tag with branding or additional text.
Confirm the barcode or QR-code requirements with the software or system that will scan the finished tags before submitting the order.

Which round key tag size should I choose?
Choose the 1½-inch size for a compact tag with a simple logo or short text. Choose the 2⅛-inch size when the design needs more room for branding, instructions, names, numbers or a scannable code.
Can I print on both sides?
Yes. The front is printed in full color. The back can be left blank or printed in black ink or full color.
Can round key tags include a barcode or QR code?
Yes. Barcodes and QR codes can be added to either size. The artwork must leave enough clear space for the code, and the code format must meet the requirements of the system that will scan it.
Can every round key tag have a different name, number or barcode?
Yes. Variable-data printing allows selected names, identification numbers, account values or barcode data to change from one tag to the next.
Are round key tags made from the same material as standard key tags?
Round key tags are printed on thick 30-mil plastic with a gloss finish and hole punch. Standard key tags are available separately in rectangle, long rectangle, oval and dog-tag shapes.
How long does round key tag printing take?
Standard production takes 10–15 business days. Rush services may also be available depending on the order and current production schedule.
What is the minimum online order quantity?
The current online quantity options begin at 500 tags. Additional online quantities include 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000.
